Superior Controls is proud to announce that our very own Andy Corsini has moved within the company to a new role on our Group Engineering Management (GEM) team in June 2018! This move will help Superior Controls increase our management presence in our NY office and allow us to continue growing.
Andy joined Superior Controls in July of 2011, after graduating from UNH with his Chemical Engineering degree. Since joining Superior Controls, most of Andy’s time has been spent supporting a key customer in the Albany, NY area. During that time, Andy progressed from a Project Engineer to Senior Project Engineer. Robert Patrick, Vice President of Engineering at Superior Controls, comments on Andy’s success in Albany, “For the last few years, Andy has done an excellent job as our site engineering lead for this customer. He is responsible for coordinating efforts with our team and the customer which includes scheduling for 24/7 support, mentoring, training, and assistance with proposals.”
In his new role, Andy will continue to support this customer in Albany as the site lead with the additional responsibilities of a Group Engineering Manager. The core of his new responsibilities as a GEM include goal setting and mentoring. Andy will be focused on the individual needs of his team and assisting with the overall planning/scheduling of resources.
Rick Pierro, President of Superior Controls comments on Andy’s recent move saying, “We are delighted to welcome Andy Corsini into the management ranks at Superior Controls. Actually though, Andy has been providing excellent leadership and guidance to our Albany-based engineering team for some time. This management promotion is really a formal recognition on Andy’s exceptional ongoing leadership role.”
Robert Patrick also gives a few remarks mentioning, “We are excited as Andy moves into his new role. He has been working with his previous manager, Joseph Iuliucci, over the last year in preparation of this transition. A lot of what he has learned as the customer site lead will translate well into his new responsibilities as a Group Engineering Manager.”
In his leisure time, Andy enjoys staying active by playing golf, softball and running road races. He is an avid New England sports fan and loves to travel. He especially enjoys combining those two and attending away games in cities to he has never visited before.
Congratulations Andy, from all of us here at Superior Controls!
