We congratulate Team Superior a.k.a. Hudson Valley Renegades on executing a perfect season! Entering the championship game without a loss, the big win did not come easily. After a successful start by opponent Ianello Anderson a.k.a Tri City Valley Cats, Team Superior was down 3-0 going into the second inning. Team Superior came roaring back with a single by Jeff followed by a single by Ken, allowing Jeff to go to third and Ken to second on the throw with no outs. Darren followed with a sacrifice fly that scored Jeff to make it 3-1. Andrew then hit a triple to score Ken, making the game 3-2. Pete was up next and hit a single to score Andrew to tie the game at 3-3. Superior tacked on another run when Ricky hit a solo homerun to make it 4-3 and the end of 3 innings.
In the 4th inning, Superior added 2 more runs with a single hit by Ken and a homerun by Darren to bring the score to 6-3. Superior Controls scored one more insurance run in the 6th when Andrew hit a double followed by Chris with a single to make the score 7-3 at the end of 6 innings. Darren was on the mound and held Ianello to 4 runs, for a final score of 7-4.
Superior Controls ended the season with a perfect 12-0 record, and celebrated their victorious season with beer and wings at a local pub.
