Earlier this year, Ron Case joined Superior Controls as business development manager for the New England market.
Perhaps you have already met new employee Ron Case, Superior Controls’ new business development manager for the New England market. Ron joins the team after nearly a decade working with a life science OEM to standardize and develop a new software platform. Excited to join the Superior Controls team, Ron is currently working with several life science start-ups to bring new products into production. “It’s always interesting to be part of the process of bringing a new drug to fruition that will save or positively alter a person’s life,” he said.
Ron has enjoyed his first six months at Superior Controls, citing the employees, company culture, and work ethic as some of the things he appreciates most about the company. “Everyone is friendly, helpful, client oriented, and has a great attitude. I’m impressed with the depth of resources available at the company, especially as compared to other system integrators in the region,” he said.
Originally from Hoosick Falls, NY, at the age of three Ron moved to Winthrop, MA where he lived until he went to college. Ron attended Lowell Technical Institute (now UMass Lowell) and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering. Ron stayed on and later graduated with a master’s degree in management science. He then taught computer science and quantitative methods at U Lowell and Merrimack College before entering the computer industry.
With two degrees in hand, Ron and wife Cate settled in Newburyport in the North Shore area of Boston. The couple acquired an original farmhouse, built in 1703, where they raised their three children. Cate has recently retired from the Newburyport School System and is currently living in Central Florida where she works in the special education department for Indian River School District.
Sons Adam and Alex followed their father into technical professions. Adam is currently an application sales manager at Oracle, and Alex is a software engineer at Aptima, Inc., a company that develops military simulation software. Daughter Jaime is a recent graduate from the University of Central Florida, earning her BS in Psychology. Jaime is currently head hostess at Hard Rock Café while she seeks her first professional position.
When not at work, Ron enjoys a variety of hobbies. “I love to travel, to anywhere new,” he said. “I’m a fan of many local sports teams, especially the New England Patriots. I also enjoy golf and sailing.” Ron is a member of several local service organizations, including the Elks, which focuses on benevolent support for veterans, and Horizons Group, which supports challenged young adults.
