Banks Integration Group was tasked with converting eight obsolete Allen-Bradley PLC-2 systems to modern ControlLogix platforms at a large Sugar manufacturing facility. The systems were old and without documentation. In order to obtain physical proof that the new systems functioned as the original systems did, and without the added expense of reverse engineering the existing PLC code, Banks offered a special option: Use of a Verification System to prove the ControlLogix conversion performed exactly like the PLC-2 logic.
The Verification System option proved to be a very cost effective and time saving solution. In addition, it gave the customer confidence the new logic would operate the same as the existing PLC-2 systems before the PLC-2s were removed from service.
